I happened to be going through some of my favorite photographs from the year and came across this photograph I captured at a Maryland Eastern Shore Wedding. One of the groomsmen paused before the wedding to write down his favorite memories of the groom. These memories were to be shared at the reception.
So this made me take some time to reflect on my favorite memories from the year. As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, I realize that I have so much to be grateful for…
1. The birth of my son Clark! He has truly helped me to see life in a different way. I remember thinking that I may not be ready to have children because of everything going on in my life. The moment I held him, that all changed.
2. Attending WPPI in Las Vegas for the first time.
3. Meeting and spending time with Bob and Dawn Davis while they were in town for their Davis Workshop.
4. Attending the Gene Higa and Jose Villa workshop in Tuscany Italy which caused a shift in my business.
5. Shooting a wedding on NEW YEARS DAY with Jeff Wilson (aka Mr. “Make a Lil Somethin’ Out of Nothin’” LOL) . Also, blasting The BluePrint 3 at 2AM in the villa while we edited our images in Tuscany Italy getting them ready for presentation at the workshop the following day.
6. Connecting with so many great photographers around the country and the world.
7. Crashing my Suzuki GSX-R 1000 motorcycle twice at the track! I know that seems crazy as a FAVORITE MEMORY. I have been riding/racing on the track for 5 years now and have had no incidents. Each time I crashed, I knew it was because I was riding much faster and pushing the envelop. I learned so much from each time that it has helped me to even become better. Now that I have found “the edge”, instead of running up to it, I can walk slowly 
8. And last but not least, working with all of my great couples this year! You guys are the best!
